Aleluya Day
Hundreds of people, old and young, gather on the steps of the church of Chelva on Easter Sunday, and strive for the coveted aleluyas, which will follow their course depending on the wind. Tradition has it that the aleluyas, previously blessed, protect crops and families from misfortune, and for this purpose they must be placed inside the houses.
